Hi everyone, Our lovely Mollie had an accident while running. She had a badly broken toe which she caught on a bit of flint. When she had the Xrays the vet said it probably wouldn't heal properly and advised us it would be better to have the toe amputated.
Well, one operation and £400 later we got her back heavily bandaged. Two weeks later, bandage off and stitches out, she is running around, daft as a brush, as if nothing had happened. If it was me I would probably still be on crutches a month later. Their recovery powers are truly amazing.

She (Mollie) is really confident now, all other dogs are only there to be played with. She really is a little monkey, a real character and very mischevous. She has grown a lot since we got her and is almost as tall as Jodie. She loves the outdoors and is happy now that the weather is getting better. She likes door to be left open so she can wander in and out, although when we are outside she prefers being in the garden. She has turned into an absolutely delightful dog and it is a joy to see her playing and running for sheer pleasure. Sometimes she and Jodie decide to have an impromptu race round the field round and round until they are completely puffed out. They are equally matched for speed and both want to win, the other two just watch, they are getting on a bit now and it is usually too much of an effort to join in. Jodie is great but is really happiest lazing on a settee - usually mine. Sometimes there is a dog on each of the settees and I have a cushion on the floor - it's a hard life.
